About

Gaurav is passionate about using design-thinking as a tool and process for addressing change. As a designer, he has always pursued meaningful work-projects that would affect positive change for people and their environments. It motivates him to collaborate with others which are both innovative and inspiring while placing true value on the sensitivities of each community and environment.

He has directed focus on propagating sustainable built-up environment using bamboo as material for construction of habitable units and he’s regarded as a few innovative practitioners of the field. He’s been associated with National and International Organisations in propagating sustainable built environment.

Bamboo architecture, when properly managed, aligns well with the Triple Bottom Line by providing social, environmental, and economic benefits. It supports local economies, offers sustainable building solutions, and has the potential for cost-effective construction. However, addressing challenges related to durability, standardization, and scalability is essential for bamboo to fully realize its potential in sustainable architecture.
