About
Dr Riya graduated from the University of Hyderabad with a PhD in Cognitive Science. Her doctoral research focused on how bilingual experiences influence cognition using behavioural and eye-tracking measures. She is also interested in understanding the role of executive functions in psychopathology and cognition in older adults. During her time in NIMHAS, she was involved in a project on how literacy influences cognition. As a researcher, she wishes to apply the tools of science to improve human life and communicate the same with those who can benefit the most from it.
