About

Hi! I’m Bharath Manchikodi, a physicist with a passion for both research and teaching. Originally from Udupi, Karnataka, I completed my Five-year Integrated M.Sc. at the University of Mysore before diving deeper into Experimental Condensed Matter Physics with a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

Teaching and Research:

  • Currently, I’m an Assistant Professor at the School of CSE, RV University, leveraging my 3 years of experience to guide students across BTech, BSc, and Masters programs.
  • My research interests lie at the fascinating intersection of game theory and quantum mechanics. I collaborate with Prof. Dr. P. C. Deshmukh to explore how superposition in quantum mechanics influences decision-making, potentially impacting our understanding of Hardy non-locality.
  • Additionally, I’m teaming up with Dr. Hari Varma from IIT Manid, to develop Julia codes for models like TDSE and Strong Field Approximation. These tools help us simulate high harmonic generation (HHG) and delve into emerging concepts like XUV and squeezed light-driven HHG.

Research Summary

My primary doctoral work during was in the field of condensed matter physics, centered around the study of barium bismuthate-based supercon- ductors. We used X-ray diffraction to probe the crystal structure of samples, resistivity measurements to understand their electrical transport behavior, and X-ray and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS/UPS) to investigate their electronic structure. We then employed density functional theory (DFT) calculations to supplement our understanding of the experimental data and gain a broader perspective on the electronic structure of these compounds.

Currently, I am working with Prof. Dr. P. C. Deshmukh on exploring the intersection of game theory and quantum mechanics, examining how superposition impacts decision-making and potentially sheds light on Hardy non-locality. Furthermore, I am working on developing Julia codes for various models such as TDSE and Strong Field Approximation models with Dr. Hari Varma to simulate high harmonic generation (HHG), to study and explore the emerging concepts like XUV and squeezed light-driven HHG.
